Robotics Engineer, Manipulation
Robotics Engineer, Manipulation
Are you motivated by developing advanced control and motion planning solutions for robotic manipulators and seeing them perform reliably in real-world industrial environments?
In this role, you’ll design, implement, and integrate control and motion planning solutions for high degree-of-freedom robotic manipulators. You will combine robotics theory, software engineering, and hands-on system integration, working closely across vision, control, software, and mechanical engineering to build robust and scalable solutions.
Your areas of responsibility
You will be part of our R&D organization, working closely with robotic, mechanical and software engineers across disciplines.
Power Stow offers you:
We offer a workplace with short decision-making processes and room for both personal and professional growth. Our flat organizational structure ensures that we know each other as well as the company’s goals and values. You can expect skilled colleagues, a great team spirit, and a focus on each employee’s well-being. Employee benefits include health insurance, a canteen at location, fitness allowance, staff association, various social events, and much more in idyllic surroundings in Gadstrup.
Are you interested?
Please upload your CV and application (optional) through our application portal. We encourage all qualified individuals to apply for the role, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, or disability. Your areas of responsibility
- Develop real-time control and motion planning solutions for high-DOF robotic systems using ROS2 tools such as ros2_control and MoveIt
- Model manipulator kinematics and dynamics, including system identification and Jacobian-based control strategies
- Integrate robotic subsystems using industrial communication protocols such as CAN bus and EtherCAT
- Use simulation tools such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, or MATLAB/Simulink to validate performance before hardware deployment
- Contribute to calibration, kinematic validation, benchmarking, and pick-and-place solutions for novel objects in close collaboration with the wider robotics team
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Hands-on experience with ros_control or ros2_control and ROS 2 MoveIt for manipulators
- Proven experience developing custom trajectory planning or optimization-based motion planning algorithms for real-time control systems
- Strong theoretical foundation in manipulator kinematics and dynamics, combined with advanced programming skills in C++ and Python
- Experience with industrial communication protocols such as CAN bus or EtherCAT, as well as modern software engineering practices including CI/CD, Git-based workflows, testing, code reviews, and Docker-based environments
- Experience with reinforcement learning for robotic manipulation, Model Predictive Control, high-DOF industrial manipulators, or scalable robotics software architectures is an advantage
- You communicate fluently in English and ideally Danish, both written and spoken
